What Every Course Shares · الطريقة

The same room, whichever door you enter

The subjects differ. The way they are taught does not.

01

Live, and attended

Every session happens at a real time with a real teacher. A student can ask his question the moment he has it, and be asked one back. If he has to miss one, a recording can be shared on request, but it is a fallback, not the course. Being there is what the course asks of him.

02

Eight to ten students

Small enough that nobody drifts to the back of the room. The teacher knows whether each student understood, because there is nowhere to hide.

03

The same teacher, start to finish

Not a rotating bench and not a stand-in. Continuity is most of what makes a class work, and it is the first thing a cheaper format gives up.

04

Something to carry out

Each week closes with one concrete thing to attempt before the next: a habit, a passage, a parsing, a conversation. The work continues between sessions.

A recording can hand a student information. Only a room can ask him a question back.
