What to expect before you commit
How sessions are scheduled
- Weekly is the standard rhythm; twice-weekly is available where a student is preparing for something specific.
- Sessions run 45 to 60 minutes for younger students, up to 90 for adults working through a text.
- Times are agreed directly with the instructor and held as a standing slot, not rebooked each week.
- Online or in person, depending on the instructor, the subject, and where you are.
What determines the cost
- Session length and how often you meet.
- The subject, and the level of the instructor it requires.
- Whether sessions are online or in person.
Most families land between $160 and $300 a month, depending on the factors above. You receive a written rate after the consultation and before the trial session; nothing is owed until you have that number and have agreed to it, and no sincere student is turned away for inability to pay.

Both. Sessions are shaped around the individual student, whatever their age or starting point.
Is it online or in person?
Both are available depending on the instructor and subject; we’ll confirm format during the consultation.
How much does it cost?
Most families land between $160 and $300 a month, depending on session length, frequency, and the subject. The exact figure is worked out during your initial consultation and given to you in writing, so you know what to expect before committing to anything.
How is this different from an Ihsan Circle?
Private Study is one-on-one and built around a single student’s needs. Ihsan Circles are selective small-group cohorts with a shared curriculum and peers.
