How mentors are chosen
No mentor leads on credentials alone. Each one applies in full, gives two references we actually call, and meets personally with the founder and another member of the team. Every mentor completes our training before being entrusted with students, and is observed and supported afterward. We do not run criminal background checks today; we would rather tell you that plainly than let a silence imply otherwise, and the reference calls, the training requirement, and the supervision below are what stand in their place.

What mentors are trained in
Training is not a policy handout. Mentors are taught the Islamic ethics of holding a position over someone younger, what that responsibility forbids as much as what it asks, and the exact channel for raising a concern about anyone, including the person who trained them. Nobody has to work out who to tell.

Same-gender supervision
Boys’ cohorts are led by male mentors. Late-running and overnight activity (outings, retreats, evening events) runs with same-gender supervision. Wherever a session is not same-gender, two rules hold without exception: more than one adult present, and no closed doors. It is a written standard in our masjid partnership terms, which means an institution can hold us to it.

If the concern is about the founder
Most safeguarding pages route every concern to one person and stop there, which is no use when that person is the subject of it. Concerns involving Irslan Ahmad go to Mawlana Haroon Ahmed, who supervises them independently and reports onward: to the board of the partner masjid where a contract governs the program, or directly to the parents of the students in that circle or course. That path exists in writing before anyone needs it.

Getting there, and being photographed
Students are brought to and collected from regular sessions by their own parents; we do not arrange transport for them. Anything outside the ordinary schedule (an outing, a retreat, a trip) is communicated to parents in advance and runs on signed permission, which is also where consent for photographs is asked rather than assumed.

Attendance and reporting
Attendance is logged and reviewed rather than assumed, and mentors write reports on a schedule. A student who stops showing up is noticed the same week; that is half the point of a circle this size.

Published standards, reviewed quarterly
Every cohort carries 12-month targets, 70%+ sustained weekly attendance among them, and progress is reviewed quarterly through attendance logs, surveys, and mentor reports. The targets are published, so falling short is visible.

Money, in writing
Tuition is published for every program that has a fixed price, Private Study carries a stated range with a written quote before anything is owed, sliding-scale seats exist, and no sincere student is turned away for inability to pay. Refund terms live in the Terms of Use, not in a conversation.

Your child’s data
We collect the minimum needed to run a program, we do not knowingly collect information directly from a child, and a parent or guardian may ask us to review, correct, or delete their child’s information at any time. The privacy policy names our actual vendors instead of running boilerplate.

Financial oversight
Ihsan Circle is fiscally sponsored by Ideal Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3); donations are tax-deductible and finances sit under an organization with its own reporting obligations, not under one person.

If Something Ever Feels Off
Concerns go to a person, not a queue
Any question or concern, about a session, a mentor, a policy, or anything else, goes directly to the founder through the channels on the contact page: email or WhatsApp, no form required. Parents never need an appointment to raise something.
